Foster-Somerled was founded in 2011 as a family business. The name “Foster-Somerled” goes back over a thousand years to the man who built the first rudder on a ship in Scotland. Currently helmed by his descendant, Jeffrey Foster, and staffed by fellow military veterans and infantrymen, the company is committed to the same level of ingenuity as they focus on serving the community of Shreveport, LA with excellence, integrity, design, innovation, and immense skill. Combining his love for history and his family’s skill sets, he leads a team of detail-oriented and dedicated community leaders with backgrounds in carpentry, metal-working, restoration and disaster work, and beyond.
